I'll watch the World Cup to see if Ireland, Spain or the US can do anything; I like international competitions of most kinds.

But I lived in Spain and really tried to get into soccer. I'm sure that not having grown up with it, I miss many of the nuances that makes this the allegedly beautiful sport that apologists claim that it is.

But when you take into account the flopping, the low scoring, the barbed-wire fences (not in the US...yet....), the hideous offsides-trap rule...I just can't get into it.

Honestly, how does one play fantasy soccer exactly? I've played fantasy basketball, and I can figure out how fantasy baseball and fantasy football work, but soccer?

I forgot another thing I don't like about MLS soccer: I agree with the Euros on this one...Astroturf.

    It just ain't right.

on fantasy soccer, well at least the one i'm signed up with, you pick your formation, then you pick players to fill those positions...as each team plays each week if any of "your" players score or assist you get points, if they get yellow or red cards you lose points...

    That's it?!

Why don't you add points for successful flops?

Well, on a more serious note, what about goalie saves?
