...well women have historically been better than men being secretary's, nurse's, and stewartesses...

    ...one can't argue with history...

    Cool

If I were a Taliban insurgent, heavily armed and perched on the roof of a concrete structure in a village in Afghanistan, and I knew the next day a whole division of menstruating female Marines were going to attack my position...

...I would be a man that knew fear....

If I were a radical terrorist, sent from Iran to blow up Wall Street, but there was a woman President of the United States...
I'd pray to Alla that the day my bombs go off...

...that she wasn't PMS'ing...(if I screwed up and hit on that series of days, Iran would glow for years)

As a construction superintendent, with thirty plus years in the construction industry, I have seen many women enter what had been historically a man's field, and in every instance, the women, across the board, out-performed their male counterparts............~just say'in~

(if anything, men make better maids in the cleaning of the house anyway, we use shop-vac's and leaf blowers...*nods*)

Yes women should be allowed to work or do whatever they want. They're humans with the ability and right to make decisions.
I think a negative light has been shone on"stay at home moms" though. As far as my values go I believe theres something to having dad go out and work, and mom stay at home and work. Kids learn valuable things from both roles. I feel good going out and busting my hump for my family and coming home to a clean house and dinner on the table and the kids taken care of. And my wife takes pride in doing her work. Taking care of a home and kids is one of the toughest jobs there is and anyone that does it, and can do it should hold thier head high. I help with the kids and dishes and housework too and I don't think its her duty to stand behind a sink all day. If she wanted to go out and get a job I wouldn't fight it, money might even come a little easier. I don't know what it is maybe the structure of it but in my situation we live this way and have a really well rounded family. We've got our troubles like anyone but I see the families I know that have both parents working alot and it seems the kids are alittle more lost. Maybe not as advanced mentally, poorer manners. Not saying anything bad about people who have to have both parents work as that's the way I was raised and most people don't have a choice. I just think kids come out a little more rounded in a "traditional" home setting. I know I'm one of the lucky few that can live that way.
